Dr. Ekstein earned his medical degree from Boston University and completed a rigorous residency in orthopedic surgery, followed by a fellowship specifically focused on hand and upper extremity surgery from the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Howard M. Baruch is a highly respected and board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a rich history of academic achievement and clinical excellence. With a commitment to providing the highest quality of care, Dr. Baruch has dedicated his career to advancing orthopedic medicine through education, research, and patient-focused treatment.
Dr. Baruch earned his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1985 after completing his Bachelor of Arts at Touro College in 1981. His passion for orthopedics led him to pursue postgraduate training, including a General Surgery Internship at the State University of New York/Downstate and an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn/Kings County Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Baruch further specialized in hip and knee reconstruction through a fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian College of Physicians and Surgeons and a spine fellowship at Helen Hayes Hospital.
Dr. Howard Baruch is a highly trained and experienced orthopedic surgeon. He received his medical education from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Baruch furthered his training with fellowships in Adult Reconstruction Hip & Knee and Orthopedic Spine Surgery at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Internal Medicine GME and Helen Hayes Hospital.

Dr. Drey is licensed to practice medicine in the states of New Jersey and New York. She is highly respected in her field and is committed to providing the best possible care to her patients.
Dr. Iris A. Drey, M.D., FAAOS is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing for over two decades. Having completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, where she trained for five years, from July 1992 to July 1997.
Dr. Drey received her M.D. degree from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C. in 1992. Prior to this, she had earned a Master of Physiology, M.S. degree from the same university in 1988. She completed her undergraduate studies at American University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a Bachelor of Science, B.S. degree in 1988.
Dr. Drey has presented her research on various topics related to orthopedic surgery at numerous conferences and events. Dr. Drey is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Morris County Medical Society. She is also a member of the Mortor Board Honor Society in Washington, D.C.
JOINT REPLACEMENT
Our orthopedic surgeons remove certain parts of an arthritic or damaged joint and replace it with an artificial joint that moves like a healthy joint. These include hip replacements and knee replacements.
ARTHROSCOPIC SURGERY
This minimally invasive surgical method is performed on a joint with an arthroscope—a tube, a lens, and a light source using fiber optics to visualize the surgical area. Our orthopedic surgeons perform shoulder, knee, hip, and other repairs with arthroscopy, which requires a very small incision and usually fewer stitches. A smaller incision heals more quickly and there is less trauma to the tissue.
HIP REPLACEMENT
Done in cases of arthritic or broken hips that must be replaced. There are many types of total hip replacement implant options and we will discuss the relevant options with you.
ROTATOR CUFF REPAIR
The rotator cuff helps keep your shoulder anchored and helps it to move; a torn rotator cuff causes pain and limits your range of motion but can be repaired with surgery.
KNEE REPLACEMENT
Partial or total knee replacement, depending on your needs. The damaged cartilage is removed and replaced with a metal and plastic implant that gives you years of pain-free motion.
ACL RECONSTRUCTION
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the major stabilizing ligament of the knee, which can rupture from a sports injury or overuse. Reconstruction can be performed in a number of ways.
